Depending on the size, color, and age of your tattoo, most tattoo removal treatments can remove most of the desired ink in a few sessions. As every situation is different, we will let you know what we think would work best for you after a consultation.
When it comes to determining how quickly or effectively your tattoo can be removed, the aforementioned factors including size, color, and age of the tattoo will be considered. It is true that these factors can be hurdles in many cases, but they are not usually barriers, especially with today’s technology.
There are several factors to consider, such as the type of tattoo, its size, its location, its color, the amount of color, and its age. Without consultation with one of our specialists, it is difficult to determine how many sessions are required.
The treatment regimen for this can be discussed during the consultation. During your consultation, ask questions about how many treatments you will need and how long they will take.
It is common for tattoos to require between five and ten sessions. Larger tattoos may require up to ten sessions, while smaller ones may only require five.
There are many factors that will affect laser tattoo removal, so this is a broad answer. The number of sessions required depends on the age of the person, the type of ink used on the tattoo, and the age of the tattoo itself.
It is extremely common to experience redness, swelling, slight blistering, itching, and raised areas after treatment. There will be a feeling of tenderness and sensitivity on the skin at first. A maximum of two weeks should be required for all of these responses to subside.
Approximately 15 minutes after removal, the area will be red, swollen, and sometimes itchy. It will remain like that for a week or so.
During the first day after laser treatment, your body is still responding to it, so the appearance of the area may change. You may notice swelling increasing, for example. Again, these effects are totally natural, but be sure to talk to your laser technician about any concerns you may have.
Following laser tattoo removal, the next step is healing. After treatment, your skin must undergo several stages of recovery. After all treatments are completed, the skin will need to rest. This is important to keep in mind if you plan to place a new tattoo in the removal area.
During the first stage of healing following a laser treatment, the treated area turns white. There is no need to worry about it unless it doesn’t subside after a few minutes.
There may be some discomfort, pain, or blistering around the treated area after the procedure. You can use a cold compress to soothe the pain if this is causing you a lot of trouble. You might also find anti-cortisol ointments helpful, as it feels like a sunburn.
After the removal process, blistering is common. Don’t worry if you develop blisters on your skin. Blisters are simply your body’s way of healing itself, and with time, they will subside by themselves.
It’s important not to pick at the treated area, however, as this could cause scarring or infection. You should see a doctor if the symptoms don’t go away after two weeks or if you see discharge coming from the spot. It is important to seek immediate medical attention if you notice these signs of infection.
