The SculpSure program works well for patients who want to lose weight and do not want to undergo a surgical procedure but are willing to commit to a long-lasting program. The patient should live a well-balanced lifestyle consisting of a healthy diet and regular exercise to maintain their weight.
The best results can be achieved with a series of one to three SculpSure treatments. Patients considering SculpSure should be realistic about their expectations. Patients who undergo SculpSure destroy the fat cells that have been treated. When a person loses or gains weight, fat cell size can fluctuate, depending on their total body weight.
Body Mass Index (BMI) of under 30 or within 10 to 20 pounds of one’s ideal weight make ideal candidates for SculpSure. SculpSure targets fat that is resistant to diet and exercise in the abdomen and flanks. SculpSure procedures may need to be repeated if the patient gains weight in the future. Body fat cells lost through the treatments, however, are expelled completely.
With SculpSure, fat can be targeted and reduced or eliminated using a laser-based, noninvasive treatment. It is suitable for both men and women and works on a variety of body types.
Fat reduction is one of the most popular noninvasive, nonsurgical cosmetic body procedures. Anesthesia or incisions are not required for nonsurgical procedures. In this case, there is little to no discomfort, the procedure takes a short time, and recovery is fast.
Several hours can be required to complete other fat-reduction techniques. With SculpSure, you can complete the treatment in as little as 25 minutes. The lipolysis process can be triggered within this timeframe. Your body will then begin to flush the fat cells from your system after the fat cells begin to break down. In less than an hour, you can be in and out of the Sculpted Medical Spa.
Depending on the size and location of the treatment area (or areas), a patient may need two or three sessions to achieve their ideal results. But many people will be able to achieve their goals with only one session.
SculpSure is a form of lipolysis. Lipolysis is the process of removing fat from the body. With SculpSure, fat cells are “melted” away by laser technology.
During your appointment, you will be seated in a comfortable, reclined position. Licensed practitioners will mark your body where treatment will be administered.
The SculpSure device is wrapped around you like a belt during treatment. Using its applicators, it delivers a 1060-nanometer diode laser that reaches temperatures between 107.6°F and 116.6°F. Fat cells beneath the skin are killed by this heat, while other tissues remain unharmed.
During treatment, the SculpSure device alternates between delivering cooling and heat. It takes about 25 minutes for each SculpSure treatment. The procedure is painless, many patients will relax, nap, or read a book during the procedure.
In the 12 weeks following the procedure, your lymphatic system naturally flushes out the fat cells that were eliminated. Depending on your desired results, additional treatments can be performed 6-12 weeks after the first one.
Discuss which areas of your body you would like treated with your licensed practitioner. You will be told how many sessions you will need to reach your goals by your practitioner.
SculpSure consultations frequently take place prior to treatment, but they may need to be scheduled separately.
You’ll be asked about your medical history and what medications you’re taking in order to make any necessary preparations for SculpSure. A few days before you plan to undergo a SculpSure treatment, you may be advised to avoid blood thinners and painkillers such as Ibuprofen or aspirin.
